San Diego Housing Commission Golfcrest Drive Public

Housing Complex Renovation

San Diego, CA

Hugo Alonso served as the lead construction firm in the design-build renovations at the San Diego Housing Commission's Golfcrest Drive public housing complex near Mission Trails Park. The complex consists of 47 public family housing units at three locations. The main features of work included demolition, framing, drywall replacement and repairs, interior/exterior painting, exterior stucco and siding repairs, downspout and gutter repairs, exterior flashing and paper repairs and landscaping. This project was completed according to original budget and schedule.

Repairs to Marriott Residence Inn

San Diego, CA

The Marriott Residence Inn is a 13-story, 216,000 square foot high-rise building in the middle of the Gas Lamp District. Hugo Alonso successfully performed painting and wall coverings in all interior rooms and public areas and painting of the entire exterior of the hotel. The project was completed according to original budget, and ahead of schedule.

San Diego Hilton Hotel & Convention Center Interior Renovation

San Diego, CA

Hugo Alonso completed interior finishes, wall coverings and paint throughout this large hotel and convention center that sits on a 13-acre site and encompasses over 1,200 guestrooms. Work performed included all exterior water repellent and painting, interior rooms and corridors. The facility remained occupied during construction. Hugo Alonso worked closely with the hotel liaison/construction manager to ensure minimal impact during construction. All work was completed on time, within budget, and with zero complaints from hotel guests or occupants.

Interior and Exterior Renovation of Father Joe's Villages Condominium Complex.

San Diego, CA

The 12-story high-rise, 217,150 square-foot condominium complex known as Father Joe’s Villages, is an affordable housing development at 16th & Market Street. Hugo completed our scope of work on time and within budget. Hugo Alonso completed interior and exterior finishes and repairs for painting, special coatings and wall covering. Work was phased and the schedule was strictly adhered to in order to minimize impact to the building residents.

J.W. Marriott Renovation

Palm Desert, CA

Hugo Alonso was the prime contractor for the interior renovation to the Marriott Desert Springs. Our scope entailed the repair and/or replacement of the flooring, water feature, electrical, lobby/entrance, drywall and paint, ceilings, carpet and utilities. This project was completed within the original budget and schedule. The facility remained occupied and fully functional during renovations. Hugo Alonso successfully coordinated all construction with minimal disruption to the hotel’s operations.

Renovate Trojan Apartments

San Diego, CA

Hugo Alonso is currently working on this apartment renovation project in San Diego. Interior renovations consist of scraping of loose plaster veneer around the windows, applying new plaster veneer to match existing wall finish, installation of cabinetry and other furnishings. Exterior renovations entail the application of a new stucco color coat finish throughout the entire building concrete structure, removal and replacement of all windows, installation of caulking and backer rod, priming and installation of a self-adhesive rubber membrane, installation of a galvanized metal flashing, and the removal and replacement of roof and flashings. Additional exterior work included the demolition and filling of swimming pool, landscaping and irrigation replacement, and the removal of the metal rolling gate and patch concrete.

Aria Condos Interior Renovations

San Diego, CA

This upscale 24-story condominium tower houses 137 one, two & three bedroom units. This project was completed while the condos were occupied. Hugo Alonso coordinated with the Home Owner’s Association and implemented a communication plan with the residents to ensure minimal impact during construction activities. Hugo Alonso’s sound approach resulted in zero complaints from residents. Hugo Alonso performed interior finishes on all units and public areas. All work was completed according to original budgets and schedule.
